xistem histórias que não pedem permissão para tocar. Elas chegam em silêncio, se acomodam no peito e, quando percebemos, já transformaram algo dentro de nós.
Esta é uma delas.
Ela atravessou fronteiras carregando mais do que malas. Trouxe consigo sonhos, inquietações, cicatrizes invisíveis e uma fé inabalável na vida. Mulher negra, imigrante, empresária, líder e sobrevivente. Sua trajetória não é marcada apenas por conquistas profissionais, mas por batalhas íntimas travadas quando ninguém estava olhando.

ome stories don’t ask for permission to move us. They arrive quietly, settle into the heart, and before we realize it, they have already changed something within us.
This is one of those stories.
She crossed borders carrying more than suitcases. She brought with her dreams, restlessness, invisible scars, and an unshakable faith in life. A Black woman. An immigrant. An entrepreneur. A leader. A survivor. Her journey is not def ined solely by professional achievements, but by deeply personal battles fought when no one was watching.
No Brasil, construiu uma vida sólida, estabilidade financeira e reconhecimento. Mas nunca foi do tipo que se acomoda. Havia um chamado interno, quase impossível de ignorar. Um desejo profundo de se reinventar, de desafiar o previsível, de seguir o coração mesmo quando ele aponta caminhos incertos. Recomeçar em outro país, sem rede de apoio, sem garantias e sem atalhos, exigiu mais do que preparo acadêmico. Exigiu coragem.
Chegar aos Estados Unidos como estudante de pós-graduação em Relações Internacionais foi apenas o primeiro passo. Vieram centenas de aplicações para vagas, muitas portas fechadas e um rótulo que insistia em limitá-la: “overqualified”. Até que o Bank of America disse sim. No primeiro ano, veio um reconhecimento que poucos alcançam: o Pinnacle Diamond Award, prêmio nacional de excelência. Trabalho duro, foco absoluto e uma determinação que não conhece a palavra desistência a levaram, mais uma vez, ao topo.
Hoje, ocupa o cargo de Vice President at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, trabalhando exclusivamente com clientes de grande fortuna. Sua atuação é voltada à construção de soluções financeiras personalizadas e estratégicas, apoiando indivíduos e famílias em decisões que envolvem banking, investments, credit, lending, wealth planning e insurance. Mais do que administrar recursos, seu trabalho se baseia em confiança, visão de longo prazo e no compromisso ético de proteger patrimônios que atravessam gerações.
Mas a vida, às vezes, testa até os mais fortes.
O que ninguém vê nos currículos ou nos prêmios são os corredores de hospital, os diagnósticos que silenciam o mundo, as noites de medo e oração. Suspeitas que se confirmaram: câncer em estágio IV intestino, fígado e linfonodos. Depois, uma hérnia que se torce, sepse, 90% do intestino delgado necrosado. Cirurgias de tórax aberto. Entubação. Dez dias internada. A vida por um fio.
E, ainda assim, ela escolheu viver.
Com fé inabalável, aprendeu que o presente é o único tempo que realmente importa. Que sucesso não se mede pela régua dos outros, mas pela capacidade de permanecer de pé com dignidade, propósito e amor pela vida. Nenhuma doença a define. Nenhuma dor a limita. Resiliência não é discurso. É prática diária.
In Brazil, she built a solid life, financial stability, and professional recognition. Yet she was never one to settle.
There was an inner calling almost impossible to ignore a deep desire to reinvent herself, to challenge the predictable, to follow her heart even when it pointed toward uncertainty.
Starting over in another country, without a support network, guarantees, or shortcuts, required more than academic preparation. It required courage.
Arriving in the United States as a graduate student in International Relations was only the first step. Hundreds of job applications followed. Many closed doors. And a label that kept trying to def ine her: “overqualified.” Until Bank of America said yes.
In her first year, she achieved something few ever do: the Pinnacle Diamond Award, a national recognition for excellence. Hard work, absolute focus, and a determination that does not recognize the word quit once again carried her to the top.
Today, she serves as Vice President at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, working exclusively with ultra-high net worth clients.
Her role is centered on creating highly personalized and strategic financial solutions, supporting individuals and families in decisions involving banking, investments, credit, lending, wealth planning, and insurance. More than managing assets, her work is built on trust, long-term vision, and an ethical commitment to protecting wealth across generations.
But life, at times, tests even the strongest. What never appears on résumés or awards are the hospital corridors. The diagnoses that silence the world. The nights filled with fear and prayer. What began as suspicion became reality: stage IV cancer, affecting the colon, liver, and lymph nodes. Then came a twisted hernia, sepsis, and the necrosis of 90% her small intestine. Open-chest surgeries. Intubation. Ten days hospitalized. Life hanging by a thread.
And still, she chose to live. With unwavering faith, she learned that the present moment is the only time that truly matters. That success is not measured by others’ standards, but by the ability to remain standing with dignity, purpose, and a genuine love for life.
No illness defines her. No pain limits her. Resilience is not a speech. It is a daily practice.
Sua trajetória acadêmica impressiona: cinco formações, três MBAs e mestrados em instituições de prestígio internacional, incluindo o MIT. Mas o conhecimento, para ela, nunca foi sobre títulos. Sempre foi sobre transformação.
Ela nasceu em um berço de ouro, com amplo acesso à educação, viagens e bens materiais. Ainda assim, foi criada para honrar e respeitar a trajetória de muito trabalho de seus pais e avós, que não tiveram as mesmas oportunidades, mas lhe transmitiram valores, ética e a consciência sobre o verdadeiro significado da conquista.
No mercado financeiro, competitivo e predominantemente masculino, ela ocupa um lugar que ainda é exceção: mulher negra, brasileira, imigrante. Única no time. E faz disso sua força. Não carrega o papel da exclusão. Carrega a convicção de que ser diferente é, muitas vezes, ser necessária. Cada rejeição a fortalece. Cada desafio a lapida.
Falar de diversidade e inclusão, para ela, não é tendência. É vivência. É resistência. É escolha diária.
Como mulher, mãe, profissional e provedora, enfrentou dilemas que poucas narram com honestidade. Nunca abriu mão da própria carreira. Pagou preços altos, enfrentou rupturas, sustentou sonhos — os seus e os dos filhos. Foi criada para ser financeiramente independente e transformou isso em legado. Hoje, celebra um mercado mais aberto às mulheres, mas jamais esquece o caminho percorrido.
Seu compromisso social não é discurso bonito. É presença. É ação. Atua com pessoas em situação de rua, crianças, idosos, famílias vulneráveis, comunidades negras, mulheres empreendedoras e a comunidade LGBT+. Acredita que prosperar sozinha não faz sentido. Abrir caminhos é parte do propósito.
O mundo é sua casa. Morou em diferentes países, visitou mais de cinquenta e ainda sonha com tantos outros. Viajar é sua forma de celebrar a vida; de aprender; de respeitar; de compreender que somos feitos de histórias, culturas e escolhas diferentes, e que isso nos torna únicos.
Quando pensa em legado, não fala apenas de carreira. Fala de amor. De alegria. De ética. Quer que seus filhos e netos se lembrem do sorriso mesmo nos dias difíceis; da capacidade de recomeçar; da fidelidade aos valores; da semente de prosperidade deixada em cada encontro.
Ela não sobreviveu à vida.
Ela escolheu vivê-la intensamente.
E talvez seja isso que torna sua história tão necessária: ela nos lembra que, mesmo quando tudo parece ruir, ainda é possível se reerguer com fé, coragem e humanidade, e seguir não apenas existindo, mas vivendo como se cada dia fosse um presente.
Her academic path is remarkable: five grad school degrees, including three masters from internationally respected institutions, such as MIT. Yet for her, education was never about titles. It was always about transformation.
She was born into a “golden cradle,” with broad access to education, travel, and material comfort. Even so, she was raised to honor and respect the long, hard-working journeys of her parents and grandparents, who did not have the same opportunities but passed on to her strong values, ethics, and a deep understanding of the true meaning of achievement. In the financial industry highly competitive and predominantly male she occupies a space that remains an exception. A Black, Brazilian, immigrant woman. The only one on her team. And she turns that into strength. She does not carry the weight of exclusion; she carries the conviction that being different is often being necessary. Each rejection strengthens her. Each challenge refines her.
For her, diversity and inclusion are not trends. They are lived experience. Resistance. A daily choice.
As a woman, mother, professional, and provider, she has faced dilemmas few speak about with honesty. She never gave up her career. She paid high prices, endured ruptures, and carried Dreams her own and those of her children. Raised to be financially independent, she transformed that principle into legacy. Today, she celebrates a market more open to women, while never forgetting the road she traveled.
Her social commitment is not beautiful rhetoric. It is presence. It is action. She works with people experiencing homelessness, children, seniors, vulnerable families, Black communities, women entrepreneurs, and the LGBTQ+ community. She believes deeply that prosperity has no meaning if it is not shared. Opening doors for others is part of her purpose.
The world is her home. She has lived in different countries, visited more than 50, and still dreams of many more. Traveling is her way of celebrating life of learning, respecting differences, and understanding that we are shaped by stories, cultures, and choices. And that is what makes us unique.
When she thinks about legacy, she doesn’t speak only of career. She speaks of love. Of joy. Of ethics. She wants her children and future grandchildren to remember her smile even on the hardest days. Her ability to begin again. Her loyalty to values. The seeds of prosperity she left behind in every encounter.
She did not merely survive life.
She chose to live it fully.
And perhaps that is what makes her story so necessary: it reminds us that even when everything seems to fall apart, it is still possible to rise again with faith, courage, and humanity.
And to keep going not just existing, but living as if each day were a gift.
